FullFibre’s Fibre Heroes have now built to more than 20,000 premises in Worcestershire, ready to connect them to ultrafast broadband services.

This landmark number marks a significant milestone in the ongoing upgrade to the current network and means that residents in the Worcestershire towns of Badsey, Droitwich, Evesham, Malvern, Offenham, Stourport-on-Severn and Wychbold will have access to 100% fibre optic internet.

Fibre Heroes are also actively building in lots more locations across the County, including; Bewdley, Broadway, Cookley, Honeybourne, Pershore and Salwrpe. These communities will go live imminently.

With an investment of over £43.3million to connect these Worcestershire towns, and a build cadence of 10,000 premises per month across its UK operations, the Fibre Heroes team is firmly focussed on its mission to connect the underserved towns of the UK with superior broadband.

Matt Smith, Head of Public Procurement & Engagement at Fibre Heroes, comments, “It’s a really exciting time for Worcestershire as our teams continue to build the FullFibre network at pace. With our rollout live in seven towns and with more in the pipeline, residents in these areas will be able to access 1Gbps download speeds that are 20 times faster than standard speeds”.

Local business and residents can access these new services through any broadband provider active in the area, including BeFibre, IDNet, Gigabit Networks, Link Broadband, Merula, OctaPlus, Redline and Squirrel.
