Thousands of residents in Stourport-on-Severn can now access unlimited and ultrafast internet.
Provided by the wholesale provider Fibre Heroes, an ultrafast connection means a reliable and consistent internet.
Stourport is one of many towns Fibre Heroes has recently connected, with the Worcestershire towns of Droitwich being the most recent whilst they also have other towns in Shropshire and Herefordshire registering connections.
Fibre Heroes are partnered with various alternative Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to not only create valuable market competition but also make sure that previously overlooked towns like Stourport-on-Severn receive ultrafast broadband.
With Fibre Heroes broadband, local residents will receive undisturbed connectivity whatever the time of day or how many devices are being used. Current broadband issues may involve patchy video calls during working hours, slow downloads, and streaming interruptions, all of which can be extremely frustrating.
MP for Wyre Forest, Mark Garnier had this to say:
“It was great to meet the team at FullFibre. Delivering the widest possible access to gigabit broadband is a key part of the Government’s strategy for levelling up. This work is fantastic for Stourport. With the national aim to deliver fibre to as many homes and workplaces as possible by 2030, FullFibre’s work here in Stourport means the town is leading that delivery.”
Gareth Yardley from Fibre Heroes highlighted:
“The local community and businesses of Stourport can now take full advantage of this new technology that can help boost digital opportunities in the area. It can also strengthen Stourport’s unique tourist attractions and can help boost the local economy.”
The Fibre Heroes’ mission involves connecting and installing every home in Stourport-on-Severn with ultrafast full fibre.
