FullFibre’s Fibre Heroes has invested over £8.1million to bring an ultrafast internet to Buxton, with the first premises now live.

This significant upgrade to the current network means that residents in Buxton will have access to fibre optic ultrafast internet for the first time. Full fibre is a more reliable internet service and allows up to 1Gbps download speeds for those homes and businesses using its network.

FullFibre’s team of Fibre Heroes has now made the first premises in the town live, with services available through multiple internet providers. This follows the latest news that the Derbyshire towns of Bakewell, Belper and Matlock are now also live.

CSO of Fibre Heroes, James Warner, comments, “It is really excellent to be rolling out our full fibre network in Buxton, and providing the town with an ultrafast internet connection. The internet is an important part of daily life, and it has a real impact on how communities operate and the way we live our lives. We can’t wait to serve the local residents of Buxton through our service partners”.

Local businesses and residents can access these new services through any broadband provider active in the area, including BeFibre, IDNet, Gigabit Networks, Link Broadband, Merula, OctaPlus, Redline and Squirrel.
